Alabama Indians'
Special Program
for Education

The Alabama Intertribal Council's Classroom Training Program is designed to enable American Indians in Alabama, ages 16 and up, to take advantage of economic benefits through professional training facilities. This program is funded through the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA).

Classroom Training is the type of training normally conducted in a classroom setting, including Vocational Education. It is designed to provide individuals with the technical skills required to perform a specific job such as nursing, clerical, mechanics, etc. Payment is allowed for tuition, books/materials, and stipends.

Clients can also be referred to colleges and other special training programs such as the Police Academy, etc.
